Marubeni-Itochu Tubulars Asia Pte Ltd, MITA, is a company deal with trading of steel materials, such as pipes and plates for oil-rigging projects.

MITA have its presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and China for its yards and worldwide sales offices.

MITA engaged 3LAB Pte Ltd, 3LAB, to build a system for its yards operators to better facilitate its process in controlling, receiving and issuing of its traded items to its customers. Also to provide live information for its management to forecast and advice its customer about its existing stocks level.

Regional Inventory Management System, RIMS, was proposed and RIMS was launched on September 2006, installed in countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

RIMS was build using Microsoft .NET technology with Microsoft SQL Server as database server. RIMS are able to push and pull live data into the server and generate reports for MITA management at a click of a button.
